Chronology of cameras Kodak
Traduction de Sylvain Halgand
This model was the first of the short series of Retina Reflex. It was manufactured in 1957 and 1958, before leaving the place to Retina S, of which the most visible difference will be the mounting of the interchangeable lenses. On this model, mounting is called “C”. Its replacing will be called “S” (from where the name of following Retina). There is no compatibility between the two series. Mounting C is also found on Retina IIc and others. By looking at the photograph well, we can see the job number of the lens, and at side, we see the same number. This second number cannot be separated from the camera, even if the lens is changed. It is there to indicate that it is the lens carrying this number which will offer best optical quality with this camera. We find the same system of numbers on Retina IIc.
